Why work at this Hospital
Gin Gin offers a unique advantage for Rural Generalists with its streamlined healthcare setup. The co-located GP practice operating independently from the hospital allows doctors in the ED to focus solely on urgent care and emergency presentations, minimising distractions. This setup promotes a cohesive team environment where autonomy for both doctors and nurses is valued, ensuring efficient patient care and professional satisfaction.
Facilities on site:
Gin Gin's facilities are well-equipped to handle a variety of medical needs with 6 acute care beds, a 4-bedded Emergency Department including resuscitation and step-down facilities, a second room with two gurneys for additional patient care, a dedicated triage area, doctor consultation room, and essential diagnostic services such as X-ray, pathology, and ultrasound
Complexities, inpatients, and ED presentations
Gin Gin's Emergency Department handles a daily volume of 10-25 patients presenting with a range of conditions including cardiac/chest pains, respiratory issues, chronic diseases, abdominal pain, pediatric cases, asthmatics, and cellulitis, with occasional Category 1 emergencies. The hospital benefits from its proximity to Bundaberg, which serves as a referral center for trauma, births, and specialised medical cases, allowing Gin Gin to focus on urgent care and stabilising patients before transfer when needed.

DNA Healthcare success stories
We’ve had the pleasure of placing thousands of healthcare professionals at hospitals and organisations across Australia. Hear about their experience with DNA Healthcare.
I am a GP and rural generalist, and DNA Medical Recruitment is my locum agency. With them I have never felt like an asset, but rather as member of a team helping to provide rural health services where it is needed. At the same time I am seen as an individual with my own needs and requirements, and respected as such. Eamon as my personal contact and recruiter and is professional, reliable and friendly. He has a thorough understanding of the field and is always up to date.

James and Eamon are brilliant. Can’t recommend them highly enough. Thorough, attentive, responsive and super friendly. Great service ! They have enabled a terrific locum experience over the last 8-9 months
I recently had the pleasure of working with Eamon as my medical recruit officer, and I must say that my experience was exceptional. From the moment I reached out for assistance, Eamon demonstrated a high level of professionalism and dedication.
Eamon’s knowledge and expertise in the medical field were evident throughout our interactions. He took the time to thoroughly understand my needs and provided valuable guidance, ensuring that I was well-prepared for the recruitment process.
Can’t speak highly enough for this agency. They gave me the opportunity to work in WA after weeks of waiting for a job from WA pool and applications for RN jobs.
Martin and the team are very approachable and professional. It was an easy process to join the agency . Will certainly contact them in the future if I need to.
Have exclusively used DNA and David Pereira for three years now for all my Locum placements. DNA have a very personalised team. They do “everything” and have created opportunities and maximised my returns above and beyond the advertised rate.
